Disclaimer: This will be a work in progress, as coming up with 100 interesting and random things about me in one sitting might be a disservice in that I’ll end up with 70-100 being things like “There’s a basil plant in my kitchen,” and I just don’t want to do that to you.

Here goes:

1. There’s a basil plant in my kitchen. (Well? There is. I learned that from my Grama – cut a stem, put it in a jar, and it’ll root! Then you are growing your own fresh basil all year round!)

2. I am self-proclaimed dual citizen of the South and the Midwest (my roots are firmly planted in Tennessee and Alabama, but my arms reach and stretch out over the beautifully awesome state of Minnesota).

3. If red wine is good for your heart, my heart will last me into my hundreds…

4. I have a secret ambition to be one of the food judges on Iron Chef America.

5. I make a killer eggplant parmesan.

6. I have never made lasagna.

7. Radiohead’s show at Lollapalooza changed the way I see/hear/feel live music.

8. I pay for cable for four reasons/networks/folks: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Food Network, VH1 Top 100 Countdowns (Teen Stars, Overpriced Celebrity Parties, One Hit Wonders, Songs of the ’90s, etc.), and Anderson Cooper / Wolf Blitzer’s giant, animated Election board on CNN.

9. I believe in champagne with breakfast.

10. I would pay Billie Joe Armstrong and crew to cover the Ramones’ “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go! – The Anthology”

11. Celebrities I want to meet include: Jon Stewart, Diablo Cody, and Zach Braff (interesting… they’re all writers of some form).

12. My birthday is Cinco de Mayo, so every single year we go out for margaritas/Mexican food.  And I never tire of it.

13.  Eve 6’s “Horrorscope” will ALWAYS be one of my favoritest albums ever.

14.  I play [table] shuffleboard in the fall/winter with my college friends and our friends-of-friends.
